Diamond Array (Art – and Computer Graphic)

We did this artwork today – computer graphic done in Corel Draw 9.  It is not as we “envisioned” it (in that it is just in Black and White and done more like a charcoal pencil).  We may do that sometime – try to duplicate what is in our head with a charcoal pencil.  Well, here goes:

There is something missing from this but we don’t know what it is.  Think it must be a part of ourselves.  Or maybe it represents a part of ourselves.  Or maybe it IS parts of ourselves – either coming together or flying apart but that’s not the impression I get while doing it.

I get the impression of knives stabbing at the boy.

Parts of myself perhaps attacking him sometime

and he is sleeping but NOT – quite wide aware.  And yet he lurks inside of us: hurt sometimes, but not so lonely as he once was (see that place in our pictures, the “Ice World” featured somewhere on our blogs . . . often used in our Shop of Horrors to represent him – and ‘his’ past.)

This could also represent the abuse the world heaps on us; each and every one (That includes YOU, dear reader): born into this world ‘asleep’ in innocence – until the world begins to intrude in, turning your world upside down . . . putting YOU to sleep . . .

and the inner child within.

Enjoy.  And remember:

Perhaps it just means nothing at all; a fiction in our heads.  Anyway – have fun with it . . . make of it what you will.

(Done in CorelDraw 9, vector art, with a bitmap insert copped off the web)

About jeffssong

JW is an adult childhood abuse survivor with DID*. He grew up in a violent family devoid of love and affection. He is a military brat and veteran. He no longer struggles with that past. In 1976 JW began writing "The Boy". It took 34 years to complete. It is currently on Kindle (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004T3IVKK ), or if you prefer hard copy, on Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/Boy-J-W/dp/1461022681). JW resides somewhere in the deep South. He is disabled and living with family. Note: Please feel free to take what you need; all is free to all. With that in mind, keep it that way to others. Thank you. We have 3 Blogs - One for our younger days, 0-10 (The Little Shop of Horrors); one for our Teen Alter and his 'friends' (also alters) with a lot of poetry; and finally "my" own, the Song of Life (current events and things)

One Response to Diamond Array (Art – and Computer Graphic)

  1. Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “Whenever you have an efficient government you have a dictatorship.” by Harry S Truman.

Go Ahead. You were thinking . . . ?
